This hotel is good on 3 star hotel standards. This is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are outdated and the service was not great. No one helped us with our bags when we got there, there was no concierge at the desk when we came back after dinner, the walls are very thin, and the “queen” bed was actually 2 twin beds pushed together and the mattresses were uncomfortable. 6-7th September 2023 - we were very satisfied with our stay at the Palace Hotel in Lake Como. A grand building that has beautifully landscaped gardens giving it a great appeal.
Rooms - Our room was spacious and clean with all the required conveniences. We opted for an included breakfast which was fantastic. A wide variety of all the breakfast classics in a classy ballroom.
Service - from the moment we arrived we were taken care of with parking and luggage and check-in. The staff were friendly and polite and made us feel extremely welcome.
Location - very central to the city and plenty of options of restaurants in the area, all within walking distance. Views of the lake from the front of the hotel.
Good three day stay. Rooms smaller than expected but well set out, equipped and clean. Hotel quiet, set back from the road. Good breakfast buffet included and very helpful and attentive staff.
